Look Down on the Stars

Look Down on the Stars

By Stanley Potts

Ever since his first book, “The Potts' Factor Versus Murphy's Law,” came out two years ago, Stan Potts has been asked why he didn't write about one wild incident or another that friends and associates had shared with him. Well, he's picked up on many of those stories in this new book, “Look Down On The Stars,” which delves into more rich detail out of the incredible life Stan Potts has lived in the remote land of the American West – Idaho and Nevada in particular. He shares many stories, including a few hair-raising ones, of his many escapades growing up in and spending a lifetime in the back country. He became one of the country's most famous bighorn sheep guides and outfitters over a lifetime spent in the remote Frank Church Wilderness and shares some stories out of those experiences. However, he also brings the reader along with him with humorous and heart-warming stories about how this great land, and the people he shared life with, shaped him as a youth, as a young man, and then an adult who, in turn, helped shaped ways for people to get into this wild land and enjoy it as much as he does. In addition, his dedication chapter pays tribute to an incredible lady, his mother, Sarah Gray Potts, with a series of stories that, if they had stood alone, would have made this book a winner. 6x9 format, 168 pages, 60 photographs, and numerous illustrations. Issued in both softcover and hardcover formats.
